Hello everyone! I’m Deb, a Nashville photographer with more than 10 years’ experience behind the camera creating portrait photography.
I’ve always loved photographing people because the fabric of each of us is unique, which makes portraiture infinitely interesting, challenging, and rewarding. At every photo session, my goal is to combine artistic passion with technical skill to create one-of-a-kind, captivating portraits that evoke emotion and human connection.
I also love to make it fun, relaxing and enjoyable for you. We’ll chat ahead of time about your goals, and take the time needed on set so you feel confident enough to let your light shine. Becasue that’s when the magic begins.
Tools of the trade
Some people are curious about the camera I use as well as a few other tools of the trade. I’m happy to share! I shoot all my sessions with a Canon R5 mirrorless body and usually all prime lenses. My favorite lens is my Canon 50 mm 1.2 which handles like a dream and is sharp as a tack. But a close second is my 85 mm 1.4 for individual portraits. I edit with Apple and Adobe technology — a 27-inch iMac with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
A quick note about packages and pricing
My pricing for all my photography services is based upon my expertise and the coverage time of our session together. My pricing for packages is transparent and may be reviewed here. All sessions result in professionally edited, high-resolution photographs delivered in a beautiful online gallery. Once you receive your gallery, you may download, save, or share with anyone you like. Prints and cavasses are available options that you may order from your gallery, or you may opt to print your images yourself.
Beyond the lens…
If I’m not behind the camera or a computer, most of the time you’ll find me reading, enjoying a coffee, cuddling with my two cats, or teaching yoga, which I do several times each week at our local library, as well as on zoom.
As a native Nashvillian, my heart is forever tied to this city. I embrace its traditional roots as well as its evolving cultural scene, and I’m proud to call it home. Currently, my husband, two grown children, and I enjoy a relaxing pace of life in the rolling hills of Brentwood, TN, just south of Music City’s downtown. We enjoy taking walks, biking, and hanging out to watch movies or binge-watch whatever’s hot on Netflix at the moment. Life is definitely good. 🙂
So that’s me in a nutshell, and thanks for stopping by. I’d love to get to know you too, so reach out and chat anytime!
