Rebeca and Ignacio love country music! So when they began planning their destination elopement, they knew Nashville was the spot. After a little research, they found the perfect venue exuding southern grace and old world charm: Riverwood Mansion.
Rebeca and Ignacio believe it is important to start their new life surrounded and supported by family. That’s why both of their immediate families traveled from Miami to share in the couple’s joyful day! Their ceremony took place on New Year’s Eve eve, with candlelight and holiday greenery creating an intimate, beautiful setting.
As the family gathered in the drawing room, Rebeca and Ignacio recited their touching vows. Afterward, everyone gathered for happy family photos on the front steps of the historic Nashville mansion.
Romance in the garden
Elopements are short and sweet; therefore, I make sure to maximize every minute. It’s important to work quickly and professionally to create as many beautiful photos as possible! Once we completed family photos, I swept Rebeca and Ignacio into the lovely garden to capture their happy emotion. My favorites from this session are the ones under the twinkle lights in the arch trellis. Look how they sparkle and shine–just like the light of love in this sweet couple’s eyes!
Elope in Nashville, which specializes in destination elopements, created Rebeca’s stunning bouquet. Berries and delicate lamb’s ear accented its blooms of pink, gold, rose, ivory and burgundy. And her dress! Her lovely lace and tulle wedding gown sashayed and swirled as she walked the grounds. Underneath, though, I knew Rebeca was a down-to-earth girl, because he real with a pair of comfy tan cowboy boots! I mean, this is Nashville, right? As a final touch, Ignacio’s boutonniere perfectly set off his formal blue suit and tie. They made such a handsome couple!
Family, above all
After their romantic portraits, it was time to eat cake! Rebeca and Ignacio giggled and cut the sweet buttercream cake, sharing their first piece together. Then, Ignacio’s mother explained to me that we needed one final photo. She said everyone must offer good luck to the bride and groom with a family portrait around the cake. As is obvious in the picture below, everyone shared in Rebeca and Ignacios happiness as they began their life together.
I am sure the Dominguez and Pelaze families had a blast in Nashville in the days that followed–with a fabulous Music City-style New Year’s celebration, live music, and great food everywhere. Nashville just seems to have that effect! Every couple I’ve met who come here for a destination wedding or elopement seems to be nearly as excited to enjoy Nashville as they are to say their wedding vows!
Congratulations Rebeca and Ignacio! I’m so happy our paths came together and I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
